Scented Stones
These faux stones are scented with your favorite essential or fragrance oils and make great room fresheners or gifts. Not only are they easy to make, but make wonderful room fresheners!
1/2 cup flour (not self-rising) 1/4 cup salt 1/2 Tbl alum 1 Tbl essential or fragrance oil 2/3 cup boiling water Food coloring (optional)
Mix all of the dry ingredients in a glass bowl. Add the boiling water and essential oil slowly. For colored dough, blend in food coloring one drop at a time until you reach the desired shade. Blend ingredients together and form into a bal
Working with a small amount at a time, roll small amounts of dough between your palms to form small balls.
The scent will be strong until the stones dry. Cover any unused dough to keep it from drying out.
