Creamy Lotion Base
Looking for a rich and creamy lotion base you can personalize with a favorite fragrance? This lotion is definitely thick and decadent, with macadamia nut oil as the main ingredient.
5 1/2 oz water
3/8 oz emulsifying wax
1/8 oz cocoa butter
6 ml calophyllum
9 ml jojoba
9 ml fractionated coconut oil
9 ml St. John's Wart
27 ml macadamia nut oil
Combine the oils, wax and butter in a small bowl. Heat the water in a separate bowl in the microwave for about 3 minutes.
Heat the oil mixture in a double boiler until melted and whisk well. Add the water gradually, whisking well in between. Let cool, whisking occasionally. The mixture will thicken and begin to form peaks like meringue.
Add your favorite fragrance or essential oils and whisk gently to combine. Transfer into bottles using a funnel.
