Homemade Acne Masks
There are many different types of acne, including regular acne, acne rosacea, etc, and each kind can respond to differently to various types of treatment. All of these recipes for acne masks are natural, gentle and safe.
When you find the mask recipe that works well with your skin, ti can help to clear and soothe your skin. Try one or several of these masks to see how your skin responds to the treatment. When you find a mask that your skin really seems to respond well to, try using it one or two times a week to see improvements.
2 large eggs 2 drops of lemon juice (optional)
Separate the egg whites from the yolks and add the 2 drops of lemon juice. Discard the yolks or save them for another use. Whip the egg whites with a blender or a whisk until the whites are frothy. Apply the whipped egg whites to your face (your face should already be clean, with makeup and moisturizers removed). Leave on until it dries. Rinse with warm water and moisturize as normal. This treatment will tighten your skin and help clear red spots.
1 - 2 egg yolks
Beat the egg yolks and spread across your face using a cotton ball. Leave on for about 20 minutes, then rinse with water. This mask is great for healing blemishing and is very soothing for dry skin.
2 Tbl baking soda water
Mix together the baking soda with enough water to form a smooth, spreadable paste. Use your fingertips or a cottonball to spread across already cleansed skin. Keep it on your face for about 20 minutes. Rinse gently with warm water and moisturize as normal. Your skin will feel very soft. If your skin responds well to this homemade acne treatment, it can be used several times a week to help clear your acne.
1 medium apple, grated 4 Tbl honey
Mis together the grated apple and honey. Smooth over your clean skin and let it sit for about 10 minutes. Rinse gently with warm water and moisturize as usual. This mask is good for oily skin that has a tendancy to break out.
